I've actually said in the past that Trump did benefit because they can't dump 100% Biden and 0% for Trump but when you track the mail in ballot releases a lot were 90-10 / 80-20. And again, I've said that Trump didn't actually get 75M votes either but was well above the 70M threshold and his tent is growing.

Whether he is making a strategic decision in the first debate to allow the people with less than 15% to duke it out is another question. Likely what is going to happen is Vivek is going to further damage RR and solidify the primary to where a second debate may not even be needed.

Plus Trump is going on with Tucker which will in all liklihood will get more viewers and will have much more substantive information for voters.
