Trump Indictment Watch

It is useful to periodically see this timeline of events in Georgia:

Nov. 11: Raffensperger starts audit
Nov. 19: Audit finishes, Biden wins
Nov. 20: Election certified for Biden
Nov. 21: Trump requests recount
Dec. 7: Biden wins recount
Dec. 14: Electors vote
Jan. 2: Trump "find votes" call

By January 2 the false claims about dead voters, etc, had also been investigated and put to bed.

I saw a video of Trump passing through Atlanta and I did not realize how much security this dude is getting. He is a former President. There's were dozens of cops, the SS, pretty sure an armored vehicle, and an ambulance. I also heard they restricted air space around the courthouse. Is that **** really necessary? Why exactly does being a former President give people the right to the road? They just use the police escort to ignore traffic laws. Is there something in the law that says we are required to yield the road to a former President? This isn't specifically about Trump, it applies to all former President's. Current presidents I understand. Former President's I do not.

Just look at your own hate toward trump. He is the most polarizing guy in US history

Because people like you are 100% obsessed with everything Trump. It beats all I ever saw. Let us know when he goes poopsies again.

No, we literally had a war because Abe Lincoln was elected. History changed perspectives, but I think Lincoln wins that easily and the reason he's so beloved now was because the USA beat the Confederates.

Three defendants in the case—David Shafer, Cathy Latham, and Shawn Still—argued in various court filings this week that they acted at the direction of the Trump campaign when they submitted paperwork asserting they could cast valid Electoral College votes for Trump.

Still, a Georgia state senator, said in a Thursday filing that he was “acting at the direction of the incumbent president of the United States” when he participated in the alternate elector strategy.

“The president’s attorneys instructed Mr. Still and the other contingent electors that they had to meet and cast their ballots on Dec. 14, 2020,” Still’s lawyer said.

Back in March 2022 a federal judge had this to say about the memos drafted by Chesebro and Eastman.

I would offer Barrack Hussein Obama far more polarizing than Trump.

But agreed, neither yet holds a candle to Lincoln

I got breaking news for ya buddy. I hate quite a few politicians on both sides. Hillary and Biden are close to the top of that list. What I hate about Trump is he is the most obvious con man to ever exist yet we dealt with morons who ear up his gaslighting land regurgitate it here. He is the most corrupt person I have ever seen. His tactics are so transparently stupid yet for some reason some people refuse to see through it and then have the audacity to mock those that do. That's why I am being so smug about all this. Any semblance of rational argument and debate just went out the door when Trump came to power. Now here we are with you morons questioning why I hate a guy who tried to commit a coup to stay in power. And wevtold you it was going to happen and some here mocked us for saying it. Now it's payback time. And you can **** off if you don't like it.

I know that but is GWB getting that same level of security? Dozens of cops, an armored vehicle , restricting air space, and an ambulance wherever he goes?

It's a waste of money and manpower in his case. He knows very few state secrets and no one with a brain would believe a word out of his mouth.

Would he really try to escape to Russia? It's like he is daring Fani Willis and Jack Smith to arrest him.

If you had to go back to the 1860s, you really aren't arguing much with me

Obama actually tried to unite the country, showing his naivety, whereas Trump's polarizing was by design - divide and conquer.

Trump's problem was because of his rhetoric and behavior he attracted the dumbest and most incompetent people in government and politics, and the few good people that found their way onto his team were quickly kicked to the side, leaving him with only a bunch of gooberheads that could neither control him or give him good advice.

There is a line an attorney can't cross. Both Powell and Chesebro crossed that line, multiple times and bigly. They are very different people. One is bat**** crazy. The other is completely rational. If they are tried simultaneously the contrast is going to be jarring. Hard to say how that contrast plays out with a jury. Could also be that neither testifies since both have asserted their 5th amendment rights in other settings.

We even got the priest. No better place to be free from the temptations of the world than in prison. Also plenty of time to read the Bible.

Btw the dude in the clerical collar is not a catholic priest. He is a protestant pastor. Do some of them wear the same collar?
