GDT #13, 4/14/'14: Braves (Santana) vs Philthies (Hernandez); Still no CJ

Another crazy thing about tonight: Neither Freeman nor Justin record a hit, and we still scored nine runs.

It's 2014.

My 65 year old dad has figured out how to upload to youtube and Facebook.

I wish your dad can talk to my dad, he hates the computer and will not even touch it. My mom tried so many times but she told me she gave up years ago. She said "Your dad hates technology. "Cable/Satellite is good enough for him". I said mom after nearly 50 years of marriage, you still can't change his mind on trying something. She said "nope".

My dad is awful with the computer, but you can't stop him from using his iPad. All he does most of the day is chat with his friends in the Philippines from high school.

Now that is cool. But seriously, he would look at the ipad and then use it as a place holder for his Miller Lite/Busch Lite while manning the grill or the fish deep fryer outside. While his brother in laws and my cousins after a hunting or fishing expedition are shootin the bleep and what not.

I'm amazed at how well the ball carries in Citizens Bank. I know it's always been a hitter's park because of the short porch, but the ball Uggla hits for the slam looks like a deep flyout to Atlanta.

Actually the thing that hurts or helps Philly is the wind. Cause of how open the OF is to LF or RF depending on wind direction the ball can really carry.

This was one of those games that is really rough when you have a prior engagement and have to follow on your phone. I went through a full range of motions in the 8th and 9th innings. I want to say it was more nerve-racking and intense when you can't see what's actually happening, but I'm sure those of you who watched when through the same range of emotions as me.

Yeah. I just finished watching Game of Thrones when I saw the Braves had extended their lead to 5-1. Then came the Phillies half of the 8th and immediately got pissed off. Then LOLed hard with what happened in the 9th.

Some facts to the 4 consecutive homers discussion:

It only happened 7 times, the last time was 2010 when Arizona hits 4 vs. Milwaukee.

After the Red Sox vs. Yankee game, the White Sox did it also one year later.

dschoenfield David Schoenfield

Uggla! I take back whatever I wrote earlier today! #Braves

Poor Schoenfield. The funny thing about this was that in the postgame, Uggla was basically admitting that he was overmatched by Diekmann's fastball, but that he got a slider to hit.

If this is a "problem" Kimbrel has had since ST, then color me not concerned.

Yeah, he hasn't lost velocity or had control problems. There was that first outing where he didn't throw any breaking balls, but hell, he struck out the side.

He's pretty much off to the most dominant start of his career. And god damned if that statement doesn't sound absolutely ****ing silly.

Do the Braves make their pitchers do strange stretches before games? Maybe bend their arms at weird angles?

I think every pitcher deals with soreness but we atlanta brave fans are very sensitive to the issue.
