Obviously, it was the right call not to bring Kimbrel in. Still, if you're not going to have him available, and you were basically down to Carp, Walden and Schlos-bucket, why was Santana not given a chance to at least start the 7th, and why did we uselessly go with both Thomas and Varvaro in the 7th? Thomas was dealing. Avilan got Howard to chase some bad pitches, but other than that, he was getting rocked.

Uggla's throwing error is why Fredi pulled Thomas out early (and because of the 4 game series no day off Thomas might play a bigger role this series against Howard-Utley-Rollins-Brown), and Uggla made for it by slamming.
