Didn't realize players had an issue w/Chipper's prediction

My only problem with Chipper was that he made himself part of the postseason story for the Braves. He should have recognized that his statements made a "Headline". Postseason play is about being in a zone and being focused on the task at hand and he interrupted that by his statements. He knows this. I also lay blame on Huddy for making it a big deal in the clubhouse and as a leader, he let his team down by not keeping them in the moment instead of the newspapers. This should have been a private moment between Huddy and Chipper, 2 guys that were not playing. Both were wrong by making it about themseleves instead of the "Active Braves" team that was actually playing for the ultimate prize.

That's a good point. Bobby would have never picked the Dodgers publicly, even if we were trotting the 2008 Braves out there.

And that was what I basically was implying. How can you pick against guys publicly you've played with for quite some time (McCann and Huddy) who were the leaders of our team? You don't think that made them feel a little bit upset? I mean ok it's over with he's still Chipper and no since in crying over spilled milk but I see why Huddy could be a little ticked by that. Even if Chipper did grow up a Dodger fan.

Did you even read my post?

Wonder if this mess figured any in Huddy's departure. I'd say no but no one on this board knows what went down behind closed doors. I would have figured given the ankle Huddy would've stayed in ATL for peanuts

This guy has so much talent I don't know where to start," Rivera writes of Cano. "... There is no doubt that he is a Hall of Fame caliber [player]. It's just a question of whether he finds the drive you need to get there. I don't think Robby burns to be the best. ... You don't see that red-hot passion in him that you see in most elite players."

Sounds like someone else we know.
