Anyone who isn't talking about JT is missing the boat, IMO.
There was a reason the Braves never talked about trading him.

I'm thrilled with the Evolution of Evan Gattis. He may learn to start taking pitches unlike Hack Attack.
3 of 10 is pretty average throwing out runners. Not bad at all. 40% is Yadi Molina territory. It's hard to throw out runners.

I remember our fabulous 5 starting rotation headed into 2005 was
Smoltz - Hudson - Hampton - Thomson - Ramirez
Horacio siting.
Time to shut the board down!!!!
If you told me 10 years later he was the guy from that list that's still a part of the team in 2014...
SSS with Gattis. HR is prob in out in at least 50% of parks, prob in ATL. 2 of the other 3 this were kinda junky (evens out IMO b/c he's crushed some outs earlier).
I like that he seems to be swinging at mostly strikes. He's not going to walk a lot, but I don't see him hacking at bad pitches as much.
You said it....this is the perfect spot for Gattis now. Pitcher who throws strikes all of the time and will challenge him in a tiny park.

Cliff Lee: 1st pitcher to strike out 13 in a 1-0 loss since ... Cliff Lee did it against the Braves last season
J Hey is bordering on bring benched.
What makes this all the more impressive, to me, was that Lee was on his game tonight. Both pitchers with complete games... doesn't happen often anymore.
