Here is a survey of active duty police. 84% planned to vote for Trump which was 7% more than Romney got. I cant find any voting data for police as a whole but I recall seeing something like 88% of police that work the streets(so not the top brass) supported Trump. Democrats occasionally get the endorsement of police unions because Democrats are generally more pro-union but the average rank and file cops overwhelmingly vote Republican.

Maybe you missed the words "most likely". Police officers are overwhelmingly Republican. Not a big leap to suggest the Capitol police are most likely Republican. I know that anyone who doesn't bow at the altar of Trump automatically loses their conservative street cred but it doesn't change the facts. Police are overwhelmingly Republican. I am sure black police officers are probably Democrats but even then I bet the ratio is more 70/30 than 90/10 like it is with blacks overall.
