AJSS hung so many splitters yesterday. He was more lucky than good. Waiting for the command to click for him and he could take off. Where was the fastball velo? It’s so inconsistent with him.

Pretty much who he has been. He can’t locate his pitches. Misses the strike zone too often, and when he locates they live in the strike zone. It’s one thing to challenge hitters with a 97 mph fastball in the zone, it’s another when your slider and changeup live in the heart of the plate.

No. 0Ks in 3 innings and 2 walks. Can’t generate whiffs and the stuff doesn’t look like it’s going to generate whiffs in the future. He’s not a viable starter.

Ian Anderson is done as a major leaguer. There’s just no upside there anymore. Appreciate him for what he did but that pitcher is long gone.
