It's the Braves fan way. I've felt the same way all day. I've tried to fight it off, but it won't go away. And now that our early 4-0 lead is gone by the 3rd, that feeling is even stronger.
Matzek's story and career is truly astounding. Dude's career was basically done with as he was waffling in independent ball just a few years ago, and tonight he pitches out of a 0-out, runners on 2nd and 3rd situation without giving up a run in the NLCS against the 106-win Dodgers.
If we go on to lose this game and the series, that'll be it. That homer will be the moment. I'm afraid we won't recover from that. Sitting on a 5-2 lead and four outs away from taking a 3-0 series lead and we blew it.
Same here. When I saw that it was our first NLCS appearance in 19 years it didn't sound right. Born in 1987, I was a 90's kid who fell in love with the Braves on TBS every day during my summer breaks from school. The Braves always being good to great is so deeply ingrained in my subconscious...
What the actual f***k happened? I just got home from work and errand running.
Another postseason, another braves NLDS exit. Same song, different verse.
And this year, we go up 2-1 in the series with HFA, lose a heartbreaker in extras in game 4, and come back home and let the bleeping...
I'll admit, after Freeman popped up in the 8th with the bases loaded, I gave-up.
Shouldn't do that to this team. They've been a 7th-9th inning rally team all year long.
Let's end it tomorrow in St. Louis and give Carlos "Hypocrite" Martinez a big middle finger on our way out of town.
Typical Braves. Win 100ish games, win your division, and lose in the NLDS.
Barf. This one is going to really sting. So many opportunities and we wasted 'em. On top of that, we let 78 year old Adam Wainwright and his 4+ ERA shut us down in a pivotal game 3.
This manager + bullpen combo is a nightmare.
Feels like every damn game we give up 2+ runs after in the 7th-9th innings. Exaggeration, sure, but it definitely feels that way.
Ultimately, no damage done since we won tonight, but it sure does feel like we lost a game in the standings.
Can't believe the Mets actually blew a 10-4 lead in the 9th.
