FB 95-96, with what appears to be improved command of his secondary pitches.
It seems clear he has been focused on working on his secondary pitches today. If he can have the command he has shown today, it should play. Not the overwhelming power of the past, but still effective..
Has he? He’s listed as a3B, and I don’t remember any SS appearances lately.
Just checked and you are correct. I wasn't able to watch the early games. How did he look at SS?
I think we are all forgetting that we have a new pitching coaching staff. They are likely having a major impact on how the pitchers are preparing for the season.
I know patience is hard, but rushing to judgement after one, or even two abbreviated ST appearances is likely jumping the gun a little.
I am really interested in seeing the changes made by our new pitching coach.
I know I will be mocked for saying this, but some of these guys might be better with a new approach. It might just make some of the criticisms of the past a little bit less obvious and important.
Obviously we won’t...
What I take is that he will be better than you guys are giving him credit for. He’s not going to win the CY, but him pitching at the level of a four instead of a five might just be a bigger deal than we think.
…or maybe nothing has changed, but it’s certainly worth keeping him around long...
