That’s simply not the fault of any individual trans person you come across on the street. If I were to come into the employ of a Christian organization and were scolded/fired for my beliefs, I would not think the answer is to be less kind to the next Christian I came across.

That’s due in no small part to the fact that you took the conversation from one about whether or not it’s reasonable and/or kind to use someone’s preferred pronouns and instead pressed on whether or not society should compel you to do so, despite me making it clear that’s not what I’m referring to. The tweet I posted suggested you’re actively doing the trans person a disservice by using their preferred pronouns because someone else misgendering them later becomes a crisis-level event. I find that to be insane and dumb.

At some point I stopped blaming the Republicans for being corrupt hypocrites and started blaming Democrats for being too incompetent at politics. Trump is dumb as a bag of doorknobs but he sees any unforced errors and he pounces on it. Wont shut up about it. Republians make unforced error and unforced error and Democrats are deers in headlights. I like to highlight what Trump said about why he liked Kari Lake. "Because when the media asks her how she is doing she says the 2020 election was rigged and a fraud". He promotes people who promote the narratives he wants to tell. He has If I was the DNC chair everytime a Democrat gave an interview they would be asking Why is Jared Kushner getting tens of millions of dollars from Saudia Arabia to do nothing and wheres those Epstein files. I dont care if the question is.

Lets say you have a coworker who's name is Charles Johnson but wants to be called CJ and you call them Charles, or Chuck and they tell you to stop. There is no real difference.
The bar for what most trans people want from us on a daily basis out in the world is on the damn floor. You’ll have some idiots like the influencer who goes around making rage bait content over some of the most innocent and unintentional misgendering imaginable, but for the most part these are just people who want to be addressed in a way that doesn’t bring them sorrow or discomfort and will extend a lot of grace to those who do not intentionally go against that wish. We’re all willing to happily do that for so many reasons when gender isn’t involved. We adjust to the new pronouns of married women, and call people new names and follow arbitrary naming conventions and rules for countless reasons, but I’m supposed to believe that is an affront to your very way of life to not extend the same courtesy to someone who prefers a different pronoun? Fuck out of here, snowflake.
