Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

The founders didn’t want a lot of things which included unfettered migration and whole swaths of people not assimilating to a common core set of beliefs.

The founders also empowered the federal government to protect their citizens from foreign enemies even if they are embedded at home.
Missing the old thethe

Of all the social safety nets, SNAP is the one I’m most in support of. But like most government policy it’s hard to write in a way that the people in most need receive the benefits without creating a dependency.

But yea, I think highlighting this particular woman’s plight doesn’t exactly garner the intended emotional response. Folks, just focus on the hungry kids.

Kind of crazy how all these crazy abusive things ICE is doing to simply protect themselves from rabid leftists are being done to people who don’t end up charged with a crime. DHS is defending the conduct by claiming she crashed into them and violently resisted arrest. So why would we not want to throw the book at such a violent criminal if it went down that way?

Maybe DHS should be held to the same standard as cops and should all wear badges and have body cameras etc. Oh wait that would potentially point out the illegal shit they do? OH NOES

This is obviously fraud

Yeah this doesn't ring as true

Nationally

more than62%of SNAP participants are in families with children

But I guess Twitter user Bennett's Phylactery is an exceptional knowledgebase for accurate information not cbpp

39% of all recipients are children. So yeah they shouldn't have children, children shouldn't have children that's true.

This is what the person was citing most likely, but what's important is the top line

  • In FY 2023, four in five (79%) SNAP households included either a child, an elderly individual, or a nonelderly individual with a disability. These households contained 88% of all SNAP participants and received 83% of all SNAP benefits. See figure below.
So 79% of people don't match that able bodied adults.

I'd also recommend you take the tiniest amount of effort to see what states get the most snap benefits. Ther'es not tons of major urban dem voting machines turning the tide in New Mexico, Lousiana, West Virginia and Oklahoma.

Look at the county wide SNAP map

Seems like people need benefits in NYC just like they do in Zavala County Texas.

I'd seriously recommend not getting your facts from Elon's social media site. It's full of liars.
