This is 100% a loyalty play. Sucks
Yeah, AA had to get over-ruled by McGuirk. There's no way AA being someone driven into analytics would want Weiss given the options available. This stinks of Terry McGuirk.
As a Vols fan, I'm not against staging a Schiano level coupe. This is malpractice.
He definitely had to go along with it but Snit and McGuirk was all over this.If this were above AA, there wouldn't have been a delay. I call crap on this not being AA
Nah it's the way the game has changed more towards analytics and Weiss has been known in the past to not embrace it like Snit.Where does everyone get this old guard vs new guard gimmick ?
Do people thInk older guys don’t like winning ?
I'm sure old guard guys love to win. They just don't know how to win in the year 2026.Where does everyone get this old guard vs new guard gimmick ?

I can agree with this. I’m going to see what the team will look like and see if they can stay relatively healthy before I call this a failureBut at the end of the day I don't the manger is super important as I've said.
Look at how certain teams bring in their relievers and swap out position players. They definitely impact every game.I don't really see what control or influence Snitker would have had on the decision.
It's hard for me to believe McGuirk cares that much.
This seems like maybe a Clubhouse/ alumni thing perhaps?
I'm genuinely surprised and disappointed.

Snit is in an advisory role and he no doubt had a hand in this and McGuirk is super hands on with everything so he definitely cares.I don't really see what control or influence Snitker would have had on the decision.

This. And we had a chance to really change things and blew it.Modern rosters competently deployed by modern managers most certainly make a difference. Claiming otherwise is just burying your head in the sand.
