2025-2026 offseason thread

After failing to extend Kim I think the prospect of another 500 PAs of Allen at SS is more likely than we want to admit. I’m expecting lots of “why does the offense suck?” discussions while running a .500 OPS black hole in the 9 hole in front of Acuna.

As I mentioned in another post, I think it’s a super quiet offseason until I see otherwise. Can’t wait for AA to hold a news conference at spring training and talk about how getting healthy is like making a ton of additions.

It’s not. There’s no guarantee Schwelly, Lopez, Jimenez, etc all come back healthy

And Holmes and to an extent Strider.
 
They have 87 million freed up from players who weren’t even on the playoff roster (except Kershaw, but he only pitched like two innings).
 
MLB could fix it in 3 steps...
1. Install a cap
2. Install a floor
3. All tv money goes to mlb to be distributed equally.
 
Yeah the playing field is so far out of balance in MLB it'll never be fixed bc half the league won't vote for it.
