2025-2026 offseason thread

Fairbanks is injury prone. Already has 2 TJ surgeries. Has a condition that causes him to lose feeling in his hand from the cold among various other regular injuries. Rays probably could have given him away but likely just did him a favor letting him pick where he went.

Tucker
Bichette
Bregman
Bellinger
Framber
Gallen
Suarez
Eugenio

They are all still out there and the 2 Japanese guys. I don't see but maybe half of them getting big deals. A few are gonna be left without a chair. I know we wanna rotate the DH spot but if Bregman or Tucker are left standing maybe we can get them on a 1 year deal.

I personally like the Braves in the position as the team ready to pounce on the SP bargain that presents itself every January/February. Even a QO guy makes sense if the price comes down enough.

With the additions we already have I am good with giving up the pick. I thought signing a QO starter would mean no more major signings other than Iggy.

With Ritchie being close and Waldrep turning the corner and Caminiti gonna be in AA this coming year I don't see AA trading all of that or at least 2 of them for a TOR SP. We need that quality depth so just spend the money on a SP.

Yeah it makes no sense to me to give up guys like that when you can just sign Bassitt or Imai. I know those guys not having picks means more $$$ but that’s preferable to giving up a guy like Caminiti.
