Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

You’re racist for expecting your cvs to not have to guard the toothpaste with a security system!
Expecting your CVS to have unguarded toothpaste is not racist

Arresting and charging people who steal said toothpaste is not racist

Insisting the police racially profile black people as they walk down the street is racist

This isn't even remotely difficult

We have these realities because of who we allowed into the country. This is the root cause and whatever soap box “I’m a good person for not being racist (data driven)” is irrelevant.

We also have these realities bc even police to arrest these people, judges let them free. Or politicians write laws making theft not even a crime under a certain amount. Eventually stores stop bother to call the police, its easier to lock everything up so we all have to live like criminals instead of the actual criminals who thrive in this environment

Democrats actively participating in Americas downfall is certainly a main driver.

The reality is that immigrants have significantly lower incarceration rates than native-born Americans. 60% less likely.

Shows you how smart and sneaky we are as we go about cleaning the shelves at CVS of toothpaste. Putting those high IQs to productive use!

Btw a lot of immigrants work at CVS. So those thefts are probably inside jobs.

It will sometimes happen that the kids will be smarter than the caretakers. Doesn't have anything to do with the race or ethnicity of the caretakers. When my kids were growing up they were given loving care by women from Guyana, Haiti, Sri Lanka and Peru. They have kept in touch with these women. They visited one of them when she had a stroke. I'll be forever grateful to them.

Brutal...

**Somalia**: The most commonly cited estimate is **approximately 68**, derived from Lynn and Becker's 2019 dataset (based on a small sample of Somali refugee children in Kenya, averaged to ~67). This figure is widely criticized for methodological flaws, including unrepresentative samples (e.g., refugees in camps with limited education), small sample sizes, and potential biases; many experts consider national IQ estimates for low-data countries like Somalia unreliable and influenced by environmental factors such as malnutrition, conflict, and minimal schooling (average <3 years).

**United States**: Estimates range from **97 to 98**, based on standardized assessments like PIAAC and NAEP (e.g., ~97.43 in Lynn/Becker 2019; ~98 in multiple 2025 sources). Online test platforms sometimes report slightly higher (~101), but national norms are consistently around this range.

It's a pretty cool thang to quote a source that notes "methodological flaws" and "unrepresentative samples." Makes me wonder.
I didn't want to edit the raw response. But we all know these models are trained to be politically correct.

Do you disagree with the conclusion, and if so, why?

I do. A sample of kids in a refugee camp is unreliable. These kids have gone through traumas of various kinds. They may be malnourished. Their education may have been interrupted. Some may have been orphans.

I do. A sample of 67 is very small. A sample of 67 kids in a refugee camp is even more unreliable. These kids have gone through traumas of various kinds. They may be malnourished. Their education may have been interrupted. They may be orphaned.
Great. Do you have an opinion on what a more accurate number would be? I was suggesting 80 earlier but that was just a guess

97. Since we are playing pull a number out of our ass tonight.

There are studies of immigrants and their children. I highlighted one about recent black immigrants. There is enough serious research on these matters so that we don't have to rely on people like Becker and Lynn.

Anyhow I enjoyed playing tonight. Now I'm going to go pack for my trip to Australia.

Gosh I guess robot responses aren't to be trusted.

Good to know as the robot is the PHDs brain these days
