2025-2026 offseason thread

Again-

Who the are you talking to?

It’s beyond strange
I could be wrong but I'd guess AA apologists. I think you can like AA if that's your thing, but the last 3 years have been cringe worthy for AA. We've come to be known as a winning organization and that's true, but this reliance on HOPE is terrible. Speaking for me, I'd rather be ahead of the pitching curve than behind it.

Exactly. This moronic narrative that there aren’t people on the last couple pages STILL suggesting “let’s see what we have” is a valid strategy is not as stupid as the narrative that I’m calling out people who don’t exist.

AA fucked up…again. There is no defending him any longer.

But even the “apologists” have been clamoring for more SP depth all offseason? So he’s really just roaring into a void of imagined disagreement at this point.

Giolito can help alot if he's healthy but he's as injury prone as what we've already got.
Sure. But which pitchers aren’t, at this point? The model is: collect two rotations’ worth of talented starters, hope some mix of them gets you to the playoffs by September, and pray you have four left pitching well heading into October.
