I don't see how a Dom/Rowdy platoon makes sense considering they are both terrible against lefties.
You’re right I was going with the line of thinking of the previous post but hadn’t fact checked the Rowdy info. If we could find a lefty killer during cuts that would really help us out.

DF hasn't pitched a ton of innings in any given year. I like having him in the pen and working to stretch him out and get more big league exposure. I could see him getting a spot start here and there to replace bad performers/old dudes needing extra rest. I am fully on board with this move.

But it should be easy for a manager to deploy a LHP reliever to neutralize that. The Braves need to be ready to deploy some RHH bench guys.. do they have any??

Right decision imo. I think he will be lights out in the pen. Start him 1 inning at a time. No back to back day appearances. Ideally ending the year around 120 IP.

Although I’ll never understand the infatuation with Jose Suarez, I think this is the right call for the roster with what we have.
MLB trade rumors says no. This is a way for the Braves to bypass today’s opt out and kick the can down the road while Farmer and Smith get to lock in some money

Short of a trade or signing of someone who’s about on the same level, they are going to be the guys. There’s no one else other than Wisely. Plus, Farmer can be an emergency catcher on days they want to give Baldwin a rest but still have him in the lineup.

Time will tell. I think he'll be a starter long term. If he had to be in the majors now, the bullpen is a good call.
