Trump says if elected president he’ll get gas prices under $2 a gallon. Is that possible?

Gonna take a step back and offer up a “my bad” on sounding like I was defending the Biden economy by talking about COVID. But the price of gas did drop under his Presidency from the extreme highs of the pandemic. It’s perfectly valid to say that Biden did not do well at curbing inflation during his term and it is a big reason why we saw the outcome we did in 2024. But Trump’s war is absolutely specifically affecting my wallet right this moment, and it doesn’t much matter if other countries are affected relatively more than us when judging the domestic impact of the war with Iran.

When Biden left office gas was in the $3.12 to 3.23 range on average... at the moment, AAA says we are at a national average of $3.91
Three main points Trump campaigned on were cheaper gas, no new wars, and releasing the Epstein files...
So far, we have new wars with dead US troops, more expensive gas, a terrible economy, and still zero transparency regarding the Epstein files.
I'm not simping for Biden/Harris (never voted for them either even though you like to tell me I did), as their administration was it's own disaster... but your only argument for Trump is always simply "well, he's not Biden." You accept this garbage and are fine with it and that's pretty sad.

The greatest trick Trump ever pulled was making a huge percentage of the population think he actually cares about them. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad and so obvious.

More files spilled on Epstein files since his inauguration than anyone prior - I’m not ok with how it’s handled but no one else has either
Not sure I can agree on terrible economy but it’s not great yet for sure
That said we ain’t done with year two and have removed a dictator, killed another few genocide authors, looking at Cuba to clean itself up, neutered a wishful nuclear terrorist threat and pushing through voter ID.
