I hope the Marlins take 2 of 3 and makes the Dodgers the laughing stock of the league.

    Ian Anderson Is Back

He doesn't need to start another game. But he might be useful out of the pen. Certainly it looks like Dodd might be benefitting from that transition. I would rather Ian work on that in Gwinnett though.

GDT 4/27/25: Braves @ Diamondbacks - Schwellenbach Brings the Broom

Everyone has this discussion every year about Albies when he goes into one of these slumps. No one was saying shit about Albies 2 weeks ago when he had a .789 OPS. At that time, everyone was chicken littling over Harris and his terrible approach and his 85.0 average EV. But now Harris has...

Ozzie will be fine. He'll have a .750ish OPS by season's end.

Gabriel has a better overall profile than Brock Purdy did coming out. At the very least Gabriel should be a quality back-up as someone that can manage a game and not turn the ball over. But in the right offense, I think Gabriel could excel. Cleveland probably isn't that offense though.

Glasnow with shoulder discomfort. 2/3 of a billion dollars spent on their rotation (before factoring Ohtani). And they'll be buying pitching at the deadline again.

For what it's worth, there were a couple different articles that came out at the end of the 2023 college season that said Pearce would have been the 1st Edge off the board if we were eligible a season ago. Several sites had him projected to go # 1 overall before the start of the 2024 season.

Pearce is arguably the best pure pass rusher in the Draft. Run defense leaves a lot to be desired, but he is a menace on opposing QBs. Despite getting double teamed (and held!) every game, he still registered the highest QB pressure rate in the country.

I think Morton will be in Atlanta in less than 2 weeks, for whatever that is worth. No way he lasts on the Baltimore roster if he has another poor outing. There are talks about moving him to the pen. We'll see if he is willing to do that (or if it even works). And the Braves are desperate...

    Minor League Thread Part Deux

Luke Sinnard has an eerily similar profile to Strider. Drafted one round above Strider, he also throws in the mid 90's with some devastating stuff. Like Strider had a lot of helium before getting hurt and knocking him down the draft board a bit. And his professional career is certainly off to a...

GDT 4/23/25: Braves vs Cardinals - Verdugo Out White In

Had we taken just 1 game a piece vs SD and LAD, we'd be .500 right now, and there would be much less doom and gloom going around, me thinks. Whoever the MLB scheduler is needs a swift kick to the nuts.

GDT 4/23/25: Braves vs Cardinals - Verdugo Out White In

4-2 should be the goal with our best starters going against AZ and the Rockies fielding a AAA team outside of like 3 players. Anything worse than 3-3 is pathetic.

GDT 4/22/25: Braves vs Cardinals - Blewett at the Beginning

How many times I gotta tell y'all that Ozzie will be fine, before you stop saying he sucks? The main gripe you all have about him is his ability to hit RHP. Well coming into today, he was hitting RHP to the tune of .254/.333/.448 (pretty close to career averages). This issue so far is his .469...
