Harper goes to LA. Can you see a Teheran for Pederson deal?

It would be Cleveland where I went to college. I enjoy sports at Lee University and have lots of friends and family there. And, not a bad drive to the mountains.

BTW, how about Pache today? What if he rips it up this Spring? At what point do you give him a shot at right field?

It’s nice. 2 of my daughters live there. It is growing and with that comes crime, like all other cities.

I may retire in Southeast Tennessee where I went to college. Chattanooga is a great little city. My first choice for retirement is Blue Ridge, GA. As for the north, Boston is the only city in the NE I would consider living. I have lived in Silver City, GA for 23 years. Now, you know. :)

Maddux took less to play here rather than NY. It happens.

That’s what I think. It would have already happened if he wanted to go there. SF or SD makes so much more sense for him being from Las Vegas. Spring Training close to home too. Fans won’t be as rough on him as the Phillies fans will be. Just let him go 0 for 15 and it won’t be nice in Philly...

So far, we have spent more money than most of the teams. I don’t think we are done yet. I can only imagine the talk had we done what SD did.

He had 61 RBIs before he came here. 0 after that. We need to cut him a little slack for awhile to see how his spring goes. At least he’s good defensively.

Aren’t you glad we didn’t trade two or three of our prospects for Archer? Just thinking about how conservative AA has been with the kids. I’m glad about that.

Now is the time to sign Kimbrel with Philly worrying about Harper.

Bobby Cox called it that. I’ll go with Bobby.

If we go by the “eye test,” we know that Soroka, Touki and Gohara is better than those guys. We don’t know how Soroka will be after the injury but we will know during ST.

I would assume there are better values out there now since movement has been slow.

It would not shock me to see Austin Riley start in right field very soon.

    2018 Offseason And Targets

There some factors that don’t come into play when talking about the additions to our team. Of course, this is all assuming no injuries. We will have Acuna, Duval, Gausman, O’Day, Viz, Swanson, Soroka, Gohara all year. Did I miss anybody? Also, Minter with a year under his belt. Add to this...

Another thing to consider about the offseason. It’s not over! Look how many players are still available. Trades can be made. So much doom and gloom around here.

    2018 Offseason And Targets

The thing about the NL East getting better doesn’t hurt us as much as it seems because, for example, the Nats and Mets have to play the Phillies too. There will be some luck involved with pitching matchups. At this point, I hope we can pick up Kimbrel for 2 years to push the relievers back a...

I am happy not making that deal. We still have the kids. By the end of this year, we all may be saying “whew,” that was close. :)
