As the saying goes.....if you’re the smartest person in the room, it’s time to change rooms.

Here’s one: Braves New World (a joke)

    Happy New Year, Chop Country

Happy New Year! We are at the beginning of another run of championships for the Braves. At least competing every year. Pitchers and catchers next month!

You don’t lose players though. Not bad and you can deal at the deadline if things aren’t working out.

Harper has to be announced to the Dodgers soon, right? That’s better than the Phillies getting him. I hope the Yankees or White Sox sign Machado. AA will need to move soon on an outfielder.

Correct! Which is why we shouldn’t expect any long term deals being offered unless it’s for our own players. We are going to have to pay Acuña a lot and better be ready for it. So, the point is, we actually could do virtually nothing and compete for many years to come based on our system. Adding...

It was! Hopefully, not AA, though.

Sources say that we are close to Bartolo.

Why would Frenchy say this if it wasn’t true? And, why would he say it if it is true and they are wanting to stay quiet about it? Maybe they want it leaked?

I’m not spinning anything. The point is that people are panicking because we didn’t sign Brantley and Camargo for one year until Pache is ready is just not that bad of a move. We would need to pick up another player for the bench but should be cheaper than the Brantley deal. I’m just having...

Johan Camargo is just not that far off from Michael Brantley. If you feel Camargo can handle right field, and he does have a great arm, then why not Camargo?

You get ‘em out more than 7 out of 10 times. :)

Nobody suggests that. I’m saying it’s why he hasn’t come in here wheeling and dealing. He is being patient. That’s a good thing.

One of the best things for us is that AA did screw up a deal. This is exactly why he’s holding on to the kids so long.

We don’t NEED a catcher. Maybe it frees us up to do s little better in the outfield. Someone that will give us 150 games instead of 125. I just hope JT goes to the AL.

The report was that Riley was on the table. That’s the only reason I said that. I would rather keep him. I may entertain moving Camargo instead. You could argue is true value. Riley is still just a project.
