If we're going strictly by the year before they became a Brave...maybe. Markakis really doesn't bring much offensive value. His last two years have been disappointing. I just hope he doesn't put up another .085 ISO like he did in 2013. That sure will go along swimmingly with CJ's robust .098...

He got lucky with TP. The offensive numbers came out of nowhere. His defense was the only thing he had going for him. Plus, it's easy to be a leader and have people listen to you when you're putting up MVP type numbers. Bream wasn't any good, but judging by his motivational speaking post...

I think we'll get something closer to 2013 than 2014. He'll be a positive contributor, but for now, a mid to bottom rotation guy. I don't know if he'll be a #2, but he'll at least be a solid #3 or #4 in his career. And all it took to get him was to trade Hewyard. (hehehe)

Should I be excited about this guy? I don't know his stats, and then again, what would I compare them to. Secondly, if the Braves sign this guy, they're going to have to put him on weightwatchers. This guy is a fatass.
