I think you can make the decision to rebuild and still try to field a competitive team. I don't know why you have to try to be the worst team in baseball just because you are rebuilding.

I wish we would have won more. I like to see my team do well, not do worse.

Not at the expense of losing. Winning is never a bad thing in my opinion. I can see your argument more in other sports like the NFL or NBA, I don't see it as an issue in baseball.

I think you are making a bigger deal out of this than need be. What young players are Gomes, Markakis, KJ, and Peirzynski blocking? Is picking a few spots lower going to really hurt us that much? We still are going to get a really good prospect if we do our homework. We don't have to have the...

Winning in the minor leagues is different than winning in the major leagues. If that wasn't the case every minor leaguer would transition to the major leagues with no problem. As we've see though it's not that easy.

Yes to a degree but sometimes it helps coming from a player that has been there and won before. A coach can tell you what you are supposed to do, a player can show you.

Rosenthal Argues That Wren Wasn't a Drooling Moron

He did some good things, he did some bad things. He's gone and is a part of the past. I say we look forward to the future (which I feel is very bright)

Except that someone needs to teach the young players how to win, you can't expect them to learn it on their own.

    Carlos Quentin

He's not going to play every day. He's here for his leadership more than anything. You weren't going to have him and Quienton on the same team.

Why is AJ Peirzynski a bad person?

I know he can be a hot head on the field, he's been in quite a few brawls but can anyone cite specific examples why he's bad to have on a team? Do his teammates really hate him? If so, why? What does he do that is so bad. Does he kill puppies and refuse to walk little old ladies across the...

    Carlos Quentin

Braves didn't want to trade for him, they aren't going to release Gomes (as he's one of the team leaders). If they wanted a guy like Quentin they would have just kept Gattis and let him play LF. They obviously don't want a player that is a huge liability defensively.

Two reasons why he won't sign with us. He can't wear #10 (notice how quickly he went back to that #) He only agrees to play for a team if they agree to carry the dead weight known as his brother.

If this team wins the w/card you guys know Fredi will get a life time contract, right? This has been a great start to the year. Who knows what is going to happen this year but sometimes a team gels and surprises everyone. It would be amazing if this team could just be a .500 team. That's my...

Because at some point every team is the victim of them. The game is played and officiated by humans, humans are imperfect. At some point you'll get bad calls to go your way and at other times you'll have them go against you. How you respond says a lot about the character of your team. It's what...

Bad call Part of the game Not everything that happens in a game is going to go perfectly. Errors and bad calls are not luck. If they are then put an asterisk next to every win a team gets because of an error from the opposing team.

Hmmm.....no. It was a bad play by Chipper. Hence why they gave him an error on the play.

Chipper throwing the ball into RF didn't help, neither did the infield fly rule call.
