That doesn't mean they would've wanted Anderson and Waters. That could've been Waters and Wright/Wilson we don't know all I know is that should've been the target or Kirby Yates.
They may be forced to move him there and hope that Folty can return to form. At the moment our only reliable SP is a rookie. I don't feel all that good going into the postseason with a rookie being the teams "Ace".
I wasn't crazy about any of the deals. These guys are solid relievers but I really wanted a difference maker like Vazquez or Yates to go along with a Greene and Martin. Not having a dominant left in the pen is gonna cost us in the end.
Bingo! The Dodgers are the team with a murderer's row of LH hitters have a guy like Vazquez to come in the 8th/9th for those crucial outs would be awesome.
I would actually pay for a premium closer that's under control like Vazquez. He's truly that missing piece to our BP that would push Jackson to the 6th or 7th where he belongs with, some LOOGY/Martin in the 8th and Vazquez closing games.
I don't like this mentality though. I understand he's better than what we have but unless we're not giving up much to acquire Greene I would rather go pay a little more to acquire a Vazquez or Yates type closer.
