I would actually pay for a premium closer that's under control like Vazquez. He's truly that missing piece to our BP that would push Jackson to the 6th or 7th where he belongs with, some LOOGY/Martin in the 8th and Vazquez closing games.

I agree with you Jay. Vazquez is the only reliever I’d overpay for. If we got him somehow then everybody should feel uneasy facing us in a close game in the late innings, including the Dodgers.

Wonder if Boyd is being discussed at all. He’s controllable and would be a big weapon.
Especially with the lefties the Dodgers have. We don't have anyone I feel comfortable facing those guys now. Vazquez gives you that this year and in the future against a Dodgers team that isn't going anywhere.
