Perhaps that's the new bench building plan. invest in catcher and go cheap with the rest. Then sign quality players that have been released for league minimum midseason. Lots have been available with the new trade deadline rules.
I'm not saying he isn't different. I'm saying both of our managers since Cox coached for him and going outside the organization for a manager hire could bring something new and be beneficial.
That's interesting. I didn't realize his contract was up after next year. Managers don't like being on 1 year deals. I doubt AA would offer an extension.
