GDT 9/16/24: Braves vs Dodgers - Laureano in the lineup

Everyone was hoping for a split coming into this series. We do in fact split and now you all are all doom and gloom lol.

I think you can be happy with the series as a whole, and at the same time be pissed about last night. We keep hoping these hitters are gonna learn from their past bad PA, but they simply are incapable of adjustment. This needs to be a 5-1 week from here out

Let’s get real- if you take the first two games from any team in a four game set, the mind immediately shifts to win one of the last two and a series win.

Doesn’t matter who it is against
 
Just looking at this 3 series stretch before the Mets series we really need to go 7-3 because the Mets aren't going to play .500 ball either. 7-3 pretty much guarantees we are even or ahead going into the Mets series. if we win the series vs Reds and sweep the AA Marlins then a split vs LA was fine. A win with Holmes starting tonight would certainly make me much more optimistic. We can't afford to do worse than 4-2 and we got at least 2 Holmes starts to get through. And I don't think Holmes is bad it's just we need great pitching to have a realistic chance of winning a game. And even then it's only like 70% win rate.

I think everyone can be happy with a split and concerned with how bad this team is. It is clear as day this team just shows up and hopes their talent wins the day. And it does more than it doesn't.. but they can be a whole lot better even with the injuries.

For the record, I have been saying the same thing since May. A few wins or a few losses in a row doesn't change the fact that this team is lacking in leadership and coaching. They play dumb and make stupid mistakes along with selfish plate approaches with no plan.

Making the post season is not near as important to me as completely tearing this coaching staff down to the studs and rebuilding it with a coaching staff that isn't fat, stupid, lazy, old school slobs that got their jobs by sticking around in the shadows for years and years.
 
This team ain’t winning ****. I came to terms with that last night.

Boy was I pissed. My neighbors probably hate me.
