    Next 12 games

I agree it's too early to put too much into results, as far as determining the season, but 0-12 would still be a pretty bad disaster. I'd be pretty happy with 5-7, and not horribly disappointed with 4-8. 6-6 would be encouraging, especially if young pitchers do well.

    Tucker to DL, Acuna up

Weak sauce. A better one would have been to say he'd signed a 10 year extension to set a new precedent, and was being brought up. That one might have gotten a few more people to bite.

    GDT--Mon 3/19--Jays

Braves for sure, because that means he's has five or six years coming at steroid Bonds level performance. After each great year, the Braves do a QO, and he accepts.

2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

I said the same thing, earlier. The rules are what they are. No need to commit finanicial Chip's Grandpa for the sake 10 games or so.

    GDT--3/18 vs Astros

I don't think it's realistic to expect that trend to continue, but it sure would be nice. I think he will be able to sustain a slightly higher than average BABIP, because of his speed, and as Encheff surmised in another thread, the skill to have enough strength to have a "miss hit" drop in when...

    GDT-- Thurs 3/15, Tigers

I honestly can't believe people are seriously debating whether or not Acuna should be brought up before 4-13-18. The rules are what they are, and it would be financial idiocy to bring him up before that. No amount of goodwill is going to offset multiple millions of dollars when it comes time...

Let's predict who signs the remaining FAs

I must have missed any serious suggestions that they'd sign Harper. As far as Machado goes, though, some writers seem to perpetuate that one. Maybe they've mentioned Harper as well, but my sense of incredulity blocked me from viewing.

Acuna Jr won't make OD roster

I might fear this would happen, had not AA been so vocal about not doing this. MLB already stuck it to the Braves, so what else are they going to do. It would look bad on the Commissioners office to "pile on". It was incredibly obvious what the Cubs did in 2015 with Bryant, and nothing was...

2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

I didn't even remember that he'd gotten that (pretty big) cup of coffee the previous year. I hope Acuna does better than that, by miles, but to use a Bowmanism, that sure gives reason to believe an "adjustment period" is possible. It's not reasonable to expect him to be as good as Trout, but...

2018: The Year Of The Venezuelan Trout

30/30 is a high bar, but I like your moxie. Somebody, some day will make a splash as a rookie like Trout did. Actually predicting such from a specific player, no matter how good, is statistically not wise, but it'd sure be nice. 30/30 as a rookie (with at least two weeks in the minors...

    2018 Braves Spring Training Thread

I would agree that he doesn't seem to have any issues with player/personality management, but game management is another thing altogether. I do think he could certainly improve there, if he'll listen to the right input. I am sure "instinct" will still be a part of just about any manager's...

"Atlanta Rules" 90's Braves Documentary on MLB Network TONIGHT @ 9 pm EST

That's pretty accurate. I think I had seen all the content during rain delays.

FG's Top 46 Recently Graduated Prospects

Hardly. In all seriousness, that not what people mean when they say that. If you were being sarcastic, sorry I didn't see it.

    Baseball America Top 100 Released

It sure seems like that's the direction they are going, based on all you read. Or more specifically, "there is reason to believe" that this is the track AA is planning to take. Some casual fans may not understand the wisdom, but that shouldn't be much of a problem, especially given how little...
