Nationals gonna escape the Bumgarner game. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they came back and won the series, now.

Really looking forward to it (unless the Royals choke this game away...*knock on wood). The Royals and Orioles have always been two of my favorite non-Braves teams. I live in Arkansas and Kansas City is only about a 4-hour drive from where I live, so we made it to a few Royals games over the...

Yeah, and no offense, but a team with such a deep lineup and loaded starting rotation that still managed to "just" win 90 games, should have been a pretty good sign they had at least one major flaw. Obviously you've admitted this, but winning and advancing in the postseason is damn near...

GDT: Braves vs. Pirates Series 9/22-9/25

Got to see a team clinch a playoff spot two times at Turner Field this season. Pretty damn good year.

    GDT: 9-16-14: Nationals @ Braves

Guess it wouldn't really be September or October without the Braves choking.

    GDT: 9/14/14 BRAVES VS RANGERS

While the collapse was already well in progress, a sweep to one of the worst teams in baseball in mid-September should actually spur some major off-season changes, right?

    GDT 9/12/14 ATL @ TEX 8:05 EDT

Lose at least 2 of 3 to an awful Raners team. That's one way to throw away your already fading playoff chances.

Andrelton Simmons Batting 2nd tonight (Unofficial GDT 9/2/'14 vs. Phillies)

I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned, but in our last four games our offense has just been pathetically, embarrassingly awful: 1 Run 23 Hits (20 of those were in the 4-0 loss and 1-0 win against the Marlins) .178 AVG I'm sure this isn't unprecedented and there are other teams who have...

GDT 8/20 Braves @ Pirates: Wood vs. Cole

This one is going to be extremely difficult to get over. We've choked and looked like a so-so high school team in plenty of games this year, but something about this one is really irritating. Maybe it's because they tricked me into thinking they had turned the corner but resorted back to "good...

GDT 8/20 Braves @ Pirates: Wood vs. Cole

Well, if we do lose this game, we'll likely look back at the 6th inning as the reason why. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that.

    GDT: 8/15/14 BRAVES VS A'S

Not going to complain (although it's going to come off as fair-weathery), but this typifies this feast or famine lineup. Got the long ball working tonight and we're up 5-0.

GDT: (08/14/14) Dodgers (Hernandez) @ Braves (Harang) Early Game!

We're a really, really bad baseball team being run by an even worse manager. Good/playoff baseball teams don't lose 3 out of 4 at home to the Dodgers if the miraculously miss Kershaw and Greinke. It really is that simple. We suck.

GDT 8/12/14 BRAVES (Minor) vs. DODGERS (Haren) Everyone's lost interest thread

This must be what it feels like to be a Nationals fan and watch them play us. The Dodgers, completely and totally, own us. It's embarrassing. Fortunately for Nats fans their team is good against everyone else and we suck against everyone else.

No. At this point I've come to just expect anything in terms of this team f***ing up. I'm not watching, just following on my phone, so if the hits are indeed weak/cheapies, even that doesn't surprise me given some of what I've seen during this dismal 15ish game stretch.

Pitcher gets a hit, Dodgers rallying, and our short lived lead is gone.

GDT: 8/9/'14, Braves (Harang) vs. Nationals, 7:10 EST Bonny playing SS-

And that'll do it. Hopefully we can bounce back and take the series tomorrow. Can point to the numerous missed opportunities, but the Nationals squandered their own prime scoring opportunities, too.

That's about as blatant of a, "Hey...you're doing it wrong!" to Fredi as it gets. When a team is intentionally walking Ramiro Pena to get to your leadoff hitter, something is wrong.
