yeah, he doesn't seem like a guy that will just the highest contract but one that will give him the best op to win.

I have run the sim everyday for over a month. Most times it hits 5/6/7. Highest I have seen is 12. Last four times it has been 3 or higher. So logically they will get 15 somehow.

I agree... Just don't see them giving that pool money away for any of the FA out there and I also don't see them giving out the contracts that those FA's are going to command.

you guys did catch the part where it said IF THE DEAL MADE SENSE.... there is no QO FA that will make sense because the money will be too much for AA to stomach.

yeah, I think most of baseball is going that way.. just a better way to build a lineup.. but he needs to add another IF or OF to be able to do that. and NOT some light hitting or fringe prospect guy that might figure it out.. get a legit MLB player please

AA does deserve credit for the Sale trade and there was risk in that trade.. no in what the Braves lost but in what has already happened (Sale missing the postseason and a big chunk of last year) due to injury... but that risk didn't diminish the trade.. it just highlighted why the Soxs were ok...

he is 28 with a very good pedigree pre leg amputation. I would risk 5-10 million on him as well. I mean AA does nothing but look for guys who are cheap but could return to 'form' (Kelenic, Lopez, sale, Soler, duvall, on and on and on) Soroka would have seemed like a no brainer signing for him.

I think the Braves would lean to Lopez as a starter over Holmes. I think the wild card is if they keep Elder or try to trade him. Not having any options doesn't fit the team's needs anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade him for anther pitcher of his caliber with another option...

I agree, but I am not sure I really like any of the players that have a QO attached. They don't really feel like a great fit for this team outside of maybe Diaz/Tucker/maybe King if the contract is reasonable.

Ranger is fools gold imo.. dude requires pin point accuracy to be effective and he hitting the wrong side of 30 with a chronic back issue.... seems like trouble for anyone that signs him long term.
