Yes. It is of course reasonable to be worried about that…based on the last few offseasons and deadlines. Not based on letting tyler kinley go lol

Boras being his agent, what would you have paid to lock down Kim? If Boras asked for 3/$60m to keep him out of FA, are you doing it? The BP arms let go simply aren’t very good. I really don’t understand this.

If you’re not panicking over not paying TYLER KINLEY $5.5M to take up a roster spot and likely suck, you’re licking those boots.

I certainly think it’s ok to wonder about it…you can do that at any time and it will pretty much always be reasonable. Free agency hasn’t even begun. No amount of money available could force Kim to accept his option lol. Declining to pay Tyler fucking kinley $5.5m isn’t an indication of anything...

Not sad to see Johnson go either and will not jump to the conclusion that there’s no money based on the decision.

I really doubt declining to pay *tyler kinley* $5.5m is an indicator of anything other than not wanting to retain *tyler kinley* for $5.5m. Because he’s unlikely to be worth even $5.5m.

I’d be ok with 3/$45M for Kim

My Phillies fans friends want him as their starting CF. Simply because he produced while there despite the underlying numbers.

I’m sure they do like winning. They just don’t know how best to do it, so they end up losing instead.

Reid went like 4-12 with those players the year before. Not that I disagree on the overall point though. Kelly was a bad coach. He had a new coach boost the first year or so. Roster he inherited was decent and his scheme hadn’t been figured out. It got figured out, and his personnel decisions...

I think the offense almost literally not showing up the in 2022 and 2023 is just as bad as anything I’ve seen.

That’s playoff baseball baby. They got better cracks with worse teams than the last two years.

I mean the point is we have no idea what intel he had and I think it’s pretty or extremely likely that the league knew Schumaker was staying with the org he already worked for that just so happened to have a managerial opening. But sure strike one if you really want lol

correct. I’m sure AA, and everyone else, knew what he was doing. Saying it’s some massive mistake is kinda silly.

He’s one of those guys that seems like he should be better but is just missing too many things to really be meaningful piece. His bat just isn’t good enough.

Last year he put up around 3 fWAR and I think some of them thought they could sell high and turn him into an actually valuable piece. But I don’t think the rest of the league bought it because he was definitely on the block this offseason. When Paredes+ were dealt for Tucker some of were mad...
