Iggy wasn't worth 1/16, imo. Williams likely could have been for less on a per year basis though, even if it required a 3 year commitment. Iggy is in clear decline. Somehow running back the same team as last year doesn't seem like a great idea.

Bleh. At least it's only 1 year. Not my first choice. Or even my 5th choice

I will say this. After reading the article again, he doesn't say when the Braves checked on Dubon. It's entirely possible he was one of the many names we checked on at the deadline.

It is pretty strange considering they played in an extremely hitter friendly park this year. But Rooker and Butler also had large decreases in production. He did hit much better in the 2nd half with an .801 OPS for what it's worth. Defensively, he is essentially Kelenic as well. He technically...

Jake Fraley was just DFA'd by the Rays. So for those who were poo pooing the fact that we traded him away, the Rays also decided he wasn't worth it either. JJ Bleday was also DFA'd and I really hope we put in a claim for him. He's a better version of Kelenic and a terrific option as a 4th/5th OFer.

I have faith we are going to do better than Dubon and Ozuna as our big offensive additions. But if that indeed ends up being the plan, I would rather tear the team down and rebuild. Spinning our wheels in the field of mediocrity is not something I am interested in watching.

Kim is literally right there. Even if it cost something crazy like 3/60, it's more than worth it. Dubon is barely an upgrade. Dubon would finally give us a very good depth piece if that is what we are looking for. But if he is our starting SS, AA failed this off-season.

Super weird trade by Baltimore. They need pitching pretty badly and Rodriguez is super cheap and was very good when he was last healthy. Unless his injury issues are worse than we know about, this seems like a massive win for the Angels.

Give me Freddy Peralta all day. I've laid out the potential cost before. Something along the lines of Ritchie, Nacho, and a prospect ranked in the 10-15 range should be roughly the cost to as acquire him. That roughly matches the value they received for Burnes 2 years ago, with a bit of a...

Incorrect. You may be thinking about the penalty. The penalty for signing a QO player is removed after the following the draft if the player remains unsigned. But it's usually pretty unlikely a team will trade away a guy that accepts a QO. If you're willing to offer them a QO, you generally...

Virtually zero shot they move on unless he has a terrible year. 7 million for a starting caliber 2b is too good of value to pass up.

I feel like Bryce Young would thrive in the right environment/coaching staff. Like maybe if Stafford retires, I could see the Rams taking a flier on Bryce. Or Las Vegas/Denver where their coaches have had success with smaller QBs.

Falcons aren't are gonna finish anywhere near the No. 1 pick. It's doubtful the Titans win another game. The only game we won was a fluke where the other team fumbled the ball like 4 times on the same play that ended in a TD for us.

With Naylor setting the market early for offensive players, I think guys like Hader are going to cost a lot now. I would find great pleasure in seeing Philly do something dumb like 4/60 for Bader, followed suit by giving Realmuto 3/50. Then top it off by giving that beer leaguer Schwarber 5/150.

5/100 for a 1b with a career 115 wRC+ is pretty wild. Especially when Alonso was forced to take 2/54 just 10 months ago.

We have enough to lose 1, maybe 2 high end guys to a trade. With Lopez back and a FA signing, we should have 6 quality SP options, to go along with top end prospects and then AAAA type of guys like Elder and Wentz. And the maybe even Holmes in a pinch.

Is there any speculation that he's available or are you just shooting in the dark? I've mentioned him several times before. DBacks need pitching. We have it in droves. And Nacho could be a nice fill in for them at 3b on the cheap. I don't know what a trade looks like, but I think we match up...
