I guess Dubon would play 1b if he needed him one but Goldy spitting time at DH would work. Not sure if he'd take a bench role.

I could see Framber being the last man standing.

The Mets and O's both look pretty good. The Giants I agree lol. The O's would be the best fit imo just not sure of their finances. I'd hate to lose Ritchie but I would if it meant getting Joe Ryan.

There are 3 teams rumored to be after Framber and that's SF, NYM, and the O's. I think the Mets are probably done spending big. The Giants and O's really need him. I still think AA is working on getting a better controllable SP through trade.

And I don't trust Murphy's hip or Kim's throwing hand to be on schedule. It could be June before they are back and with little to no depth all we would need would be Riley or Albies wrist to act up again and we could be sunk. I'm pretty confident with the OF right now but the Infield needs help.

Bassitt just makes to much sense. If we make a trade then we kill any quality depth we've gotten so just spend the money.

The SP depth is wayyyyyyyy better than last year. We just better hope that Waldrep and Ritchie are the real deal when one of the big 3 go down and we know it'll happen at some point. I wonder what Arreaz wants and if he expects to play all the time bc he could help a lot off the bench.

I know we need another SP but at least we have depth there with Lopez, Holmes, Wentz, Elder, Waldrep, and Ritchie. We have 0 bats for depth in the minors. I wouldn't be opposed to Arraez bc he can play a few positions and can hit pretty well. A hip for a catcher can have a ton of set backs so...

Ozuna may take 5 million to come back and build a little value. Bassitt I'd agree he's probably wanting 3 years and we're willing to do 1 with an option.

Bassitt is still the perfect fit bc of his durability and short term commitment. I'm surprised something hasn't gotten done unless he wants to many years or AA is trying to trade for a better starter. Either way I hope whoever it is don't come with a lot of injury concerns.

I think people are overestimating the Phillies aging team and underestimating how much them losing Ranger is gonna cost them. The Braves could no doubt win the division if the injuries don't wreck us again.

    2025-2026 offseason thread

I think so too. They were gonna use Murphy and Baldwin a lot at DH this year and that won't happen for half the season and by that time we could be in trouble with our luck of injuries lately. I know Ozuna is still out there but he could definitely help at this point. He just has to know that...

Yeah his debut threw them off but that doesn't mean he's gonna flame out. If he wouldn't have been called up then he's probably on most lists.

That makes sense. Gallen is gonna be the problem bc he's not good enough to lose a pick over. He should have accepted the QO.

Cause you already know we're gonna need another SP come the deadline if we are still in it.

I'd pick Bassitt out of the 2. I still think AA is going for a bigger fish.

Giolito's elbow scares me a lot. Bassitt I like for eating innings, the 91 MPH fastball is blah but he can help.

We should be adding a lot of talent in the next draft and hopefully a lot of last years draft make big strides.

Ohtani is great no doubt but with the amount of talent he has on that team it would be hard for me to give an MVP to a guy surrounded with several other MVP's. I'd still take the guy (Judge or Acuna or whoever else) plays the field everyday and hits.
