Both of them dont cost a ton of money. Would still be just under the 3rd luxury tax, and have enough for some deadline moves.

They're also paying Dubon, what 6 million? Thats alot of chunk of change to sit on the bench. They obviously have plans of him being used all over the diamond giving guys multiple days off.

a trade for a frontline guy makes the most sense, but who? Joe Ryan would be a cherry on top.

DOB said they'll only look for a frontline type of SP, not a middle/backend guy. Interesting.

Might be a slight overpay but cant complain about one year. Not sure what SP they can go for.

Thats probably the best case scenario for all sides. No long-term committment, and get a SS for next year. Next up: SP?

Yeah, between Waldrep and the guys after him, dont know if getting someone similar is a smart use of resources. But the rest of the pitching market has QO's attached to them. So i dunno.

I dont think we move Murph, his value isnt there right now. If he rebounds, stays healthy, i can see it next year.

Seager and DeGrom would break X, but i'm here for it.

Ritchie, Murphy is probably the centerpiece of it. After that is probably guys in the 20-30 range. Would love to somehow hold onto Caminiti in that deal.

I mean we've already spent 16 on Iggy, 15 on Suarez, 6 on Dubon and 11 on Yaz. And most of those arent even their biggest areas of need. SP/SS are. All that being said, i'll believe it when i see it if they get Seager. I dont think his contract is that bad either, so i'd have no problem taking...

Not sure i'd love doing Caminiti and someone else but we're in a win now window. If we're willing to take on the full salary, i think this might get done. I believe your ump buddy fwiw.

Tyler Rogers to Toronto per Passan. 3/37 with an option for a 4th year.

They finish with AZ, LAR and NO. Not that crazy to think they'll win 2 of those 3, and the pick is in the 13-15 range which isnt that crazy. Pearce looks good though.

Listened to a podcast with Robert Murray, well connected around baseball. Said he's pretty confident we'll add a SP, but you know with how tight lipped AA is for information, it's anyones guess who they add as a SP. Same thing with SS as well.

Feinsand and others said we were in on Diaz as well, so i believe it's true. It was losing the pick for Diaz that would have bothered me.

Would have liked Diaz, losing that Baldwin pick for him though.. If true, idk.

A good, not great/elite SP and SS, and we're good. Idk if you spend 31 on Iggy and Suarez if you cant add to the rotation and get a legit SS. Love Dubon as the backup IF'er, dont love him starting.

SF to Atlanta should help him alot. But now we need some pitching upgrade, and someone at short.
