That's not really the point. Williams was still a unanimous top 100 prospect. As far as his defense, he doesn't have enough data on his defense at the ML level to make any determinations. But he was widely considered to be an elite defensive SS in the minors. Whatever his defensive metrics are...

I wish we could get some EV data on him. Is he a guy who hits the ball hard consistently but has a flat swing or is he always just going to be a guy with average-below average power?

Also, Lodise gets overlooked because of the swing and miss issues, but the defense is legitimately great. He doesn't need to hit much to be a quality prospect and a legitimate starting SS candidate for us. Just look at Carson Williams.

Owen Carey has been on the 7 day IL sinc 4/20. I haven't seen an update on his status. Hope it's not anything serious, but I imagine at this point he will require get a rehab stint in the FCL.

Maybe we should just spend our draft pool on cold weather prep players. A couple are bound to break out into legitimate stars.
