    State of the braves

If AA punts 2026 at the 2025 trade deadline while Acuna/Sale/Strider are all set to be at full strength he deserves to be fired. Luckily for us, he's still smart enough not to do something so idiotic.

    State of the braves

Murphy also has an option. He is very valuable. AA has a chance to deal from a position of extreme strength to patch up a couple weak areas. A smart trade of Murphy could mean no rebuild when Acuna/Sale leave.

    State of the braves

After this year Murphy is owed 3/45 with another $15M option. It's starting to look like 2024 was definitely the aberration, and he would be extremely valuable in a trade. A well executed trade of Murphy could possibly eliminate the need for a rebuild in 2-3 years, and would not weaken the...

    State of the braves

There is 0% chance AA punts 2026 with Acuna, Sale, and a Strider potentially at full strength. This team very recently won a title despite a 10% playoff chances, so there is a very small chance we see AA be a seller at the deadline. If the season continues to go off the rails, the only real...

6/5 GDT - dbacks game 3. Now or never for the 2025 Braves

The Braves farm cranked out yet another RoY, and this team still isn’t over .500.

6/5 GDT - dbacks game 3. Now or never for the 2025 Braves

It's unsettling watching them score runs. Very odd feeling.

GDT 6/4: SALE leads the resistance

Ozuna batting 5th and Murphy batting 7th in this lineup is truly baffling.

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

Just go get Bauer. At this point the bad publicity can't be worse than watching the team win 70 games.

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

While I seriously doubt Acuna is capable of that level of thinking, this is the only type of scenario where getting rid of Snit now makes sense. If guys are becoming unmotivated a move must be made. And the only way to determine that is a truthful conversation between AA and guys like Albies...

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

The overall strategy of resetting the luxury tax during the season both Acuna and Strider were 100% going to miss a large chunk of the season is sound strategy. As long as they spend next offseason it may have been worth it.

on another note…Shelby miller?? I thought he was 40 years old by now.

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

The play this offseason should be to trade Murphy for a prospect package, move Acuna to DH, and make a run at Bichette and Tucker. AA should have upwards of $100M in 2026 payroll to spend. The window is closing soon, so he may as well blow the budget for a couple more WS runs.

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

I suppose now is a good time to point out Snit is batting a guy with a .420 OBP 5th. Needless to say that’s …suboptimal.

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

No idea. My skills end at evaluating stuff. I don’t even pretend to have ideas about how to improve it or use it. My non-expert opinion is he will need to learn how to better execute, and hope to build back some velocity as the calendar moves forward. But most likely we are getting first hand...

GDT 6/3/25: Braves vs Diamondbacks - Harris Back Where He Belongs

Strider at 94-96 isn’t going to work. We’ve already seen that whenever he didn’t have his top end velocity.

Jesus fucking christ, now we have to watch this idiot manage the team starting in 2026.

The order of scapegoats is always the same. First the coaches go, then the manager, then the GM.

GDT 05/30/25 Red Sawx @ Bravos - Friday Night Shit Show

I think everyone fully understands Olson will almost certainly decline like a typical LHH power goon. It’s already happening. Riley has always struck me as very similar to Uggla. Legit slugger who just suddenly lost the ability to make contact in his early 30s. Nothing to back that comp up...
