It's a perfect storm. West coast trip to start the season, bad luck of biblical proportions, injuries, suspension, poor leadership, minimal intensity, etc. Every possible thing that could go wrong has gone wrong. Some of it is no one's fault (e.g. BABIP) but some of it is definitely the fault...

There are legitimately 5 guys in that lineup who aren't major league bats. With Elder on the mound, that lineup is a white flag.

That'll be pythagorean which goes by runs scored vs runs allowed. It can be heavily affected by bad luck over a SSS. Just normalizing our luck with RISP alone gives us another 8-10 runs which would totally change that expected w/l.

Update: Our BABIP actually dropped, which I didn't think was possible. We're dead last in the league with a BABIP of .178. Next lowest is the Mets at .193 no other team is under .200. BABIP with runners on is .087. BABIP with men in scoring position is .045. No other team is under .100 for...

What's the source of that expected w/l? Is it Pythagorean?

If we dont dramatically turn things around we should consider moving more than Albies. Restock the minors and hope for a new window.
