Manfred has made it pretty clear he wants one East coast and one west coast team. Of all of the rumored options, have to think those with the best shot right now are Portland or Salt Lake City, and Nashville or Charlotte.

They were using a threat of relocation as a way to gain leverage: Angelos had previously been reported to be seeking additional funding and public land in the stadium deal as recently as last month, with Angelos reportedly interested in replicating The Battery in Atlanta, which houses not only...

GDT - 9.27: Game 2, Cubbies at Bravos - Seiya later, Chicago!

Agreed. MLB will have no problem giving Texas, Houston, Philly, Tampa, Milwaukee and Baltimore the early slots. Dodgers late slot of course. So decent chance Braves get prime time.

In AA we trust. With how much is at stake year in, year our, I just have a hard time believing Snitker gets to decide to platoon the catchers. It would be amazing if one of best writers actually questioned the decision though. It really is puzzling.

Padres have won 7 in a row, but are still 3 games under .500. Still 4.5 out of the last wild card spot, and even if they win out the rest of their games, might not be enough to get in (Fangraphs still has their playoff odds at 1%)

    2023 Misc Braves Talk

I have to wonder if last night was the last we see of Soroka in a Braves uniform. This injury may put him out the rest of the season, and then the decision may be made this off season to non-tender him. He is making $2.8 million this year, and has another arbitration eligible season next year...

GDT 9/2/23: Braves @ Dodgers - Keep on crushing

It would actually be funny and amazing to see them lose in the first round and not even advance to face us in the NLDS. The way the NLDS schedule lines up, they'd be able to use Wheeler twice in a 5 game series on regular rest, in Game 2 and Game 5. They'd only be able to use Nola once, in Game...

We'll never know the answer but I do wonder how close the Braves ever got to cutting Ozuna over the past few years. Especially this year

GDT 8/23: Charlie and the boys throw it one last time again!

2018 and 2020 nobody really expected us to beat the Dodgers so I don't blame Snit (and I can't recall a decision he made causing us to lose. 2019 to me was more on the front office with how they lined up the rotation (Keuchal twice and Folty twice, Soroka once) and used Fried out of the pen.

GDT 8/23: Charlie and the boys throw it one last time again!

I'm not defending Snit as a tactician. But just to play devil's advocate. We've now been to the post season 5 times under Snitker. Has there been a series or even a game that we've lost due to his poor tactical decisions?

Braves are currently 5th in the league in attendance behind the Dodgers, Yankees, Padres and Cardinals, and ahead of the Phillies. On pace for over 3 million fans in back to back years which is incredible.

GDT 8/15: Elder and the new lineup present : Nobody From NY Comes Back Alive….

I unfortunately could just see last year's NLDS repeating itself. We run into the wrong team in the NLDS and we're toast. That being said I don't think the Brewers and whoever is the 6 seed (Cubs, Marlins, Reds or Diamondbacks) could beat us.

GDT 8/15: Elder and the new lineup present : Nobody From NY Comes Back Alive….

Am I the only one that wouldn't be upset if the Dodgers pass us? The #1 seed in the NL will likely face a tougher matchup in the NLDS since the 4 and 5 seeds will both have better records than the 3 and 6 seeds.
