GDT 8/15: Elder and the new lineup present : Nobody From NY Comes Back Alive….

Way more worried about the Dodgers losing. They're getting way too close to the Braves.

Honestly wouldn't be a bad thing. The WC team that makes it through will likely be much better than the NL Central winner. Only issue becomes the home field advantage in the NLCS if we face the Dodgers.

I am not worried about who we match up with.. I would much rather have fewer west coast games.. the less the better. I want #1 seed.

I agree,. And I am not really worried either. We are easily the best team in the NL with a healthy Fried. But the more advantages in a playoff series we have, the better.

With our playoff history going back to 1991…. The more advantages we have, the better - no matter how microscopic. Home field is important.
Let’s get the -#1 please

I unfortunately could just see last year's NLDS repeating itself. We run into the wrong team in the NLDS and we're toast. That being said I don't think the Brewers and whoever is the 6 seed (Cubs, Marlins, Reds or Diamondbacks) could beat us.

There's always a chance, but I think the Dodgers and Phillies are the only two teams who have much of a shot in the NL. The Astros and Rangers worry me in the AL. I still like our chances against any of them.

That's the same for every #1 seed since the playoffs started

Unless it's the Cubs that snag the last WC spot. I'd take them over the Phillies and Giants.
