    3/29 GDT - Let's stop f****** around, boys!

Well then may I suggest seeing a psychiatrist and getting prescribed an SSRI. And while you’re at it, please unplug your WiFi router and log out of here so we don’t have to listen to your whining.

    3/29 GDT - Let's stop f****** around, boys!

Dude you need to have a reprieve from the board and maybe baseball altogether. Go outside, go for a walk, take deep breaths, find something else that you can be passionate about. Your daily rants are out of control. It’s just a game- most of us are as passionate about this team as you are but...

    2025 Spring Training Thread

It is odd but let’s not kid ourselves and think Perdomo has a lot of value and could have gotten something like even a middling prospect. Knowing the organization, I bet it had something to do with fit or an off field issue but I’m speculating at this point.

Chris Clegg also said he saw SS John Gil today and reported that he is “much larger and stronger” than last year - may be another helium guy this year if he has a jump in performance.

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Farmer’s a good get on a minor league deal but his velocity dropped from 94.5 and change to 92-93. Not a huge difference but even a slight dip can make a big impact. Wonder if that’s why he didn’t get a better deal.

    Bravos sign Profar.

Key points from the FG article: Do you think big leaguers can fluke their way to one great season like that? To quote Brent Rooker, “No they can’t.” The vast majority of players could not produce a 139 wRC+ over a full season even as their 95th-percentile outcome. Even fewer could back that up...

    Bravos sign Profar.

Not sure if this is directed at me, but I’ve never been overly optimistic or rosy- I look at facts. Assuming it was to me, find a single post where I was optimistic about Kelenic. I wasn’t high on that trade. And I said Profar’s floor is 0 or worse- yes it could be bad. All I’m saying is that...

    Bravos sign Profar.

I’d actually give this signing a B. I agree that AA shouldn’t be given accolades for giving out what is considered to be a market contract for a player like Profar. I will, however, point out a few things which make me elevate this grade from average (C) to above average. Profar as a hitter...

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Reports say Mets have offered $660m to Soto as an “initial” offer. I suspect Cohen is likely able and willing to go another $90m to 750m - not sure of the years but it’s probably for 13 years (approx $50m AAV). Yankees limit is probably $650 or 700m reading the tea leaves so the Blue Jays...

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

12/550 is going to be too low. There are articles that say Cohen may offer 14/700+ to Soto. I think you are talking about a generational talent hitting FA which is very, very rare - I would bet Soto gets north of 600m and could go higher in all honesty. You have a perfect storm for a bidding...

Ozzie Albies Update From Mark Bowman (Don’t Get Too Excited)

Considering he posted a video of him on IG driving to the airport, picking up a huge (and I mean huge) Koi fish for his custom koi pond, bringing it home and tripping while he’s carrying it from his car, etc - and that was now over a month ago (July 27), he better damn well be hitting off a tee...

    Grading Waldrep's Stuff

I wonder if his stuff was in any way affected if he has some sort of elbow impingement (or worse, injury)- he’s apparently hitting the DL with abnormal elbow soreness but just fyi - his stuff may well be what Enscheff noted but it’s worth a revisit when he returns healthy.

    5/28 GDT: Nats game 2

Yeah I can already see the “Strider is coming back and will replace Fried as our TOR starter” articles from Bowman. No thanks - I highly doubt AJSS or anyone else establishes themselves as a middle of rotation or better starting option before year end so we will need a replacement for Fried and...

    Official 2024 Off-Season Thread!

The point is to promote an equitable distribution - the owners are making bookoos of money on the teams which is driven by the players themselves. The players ought to have a fair allocation of those funds given that they are the primary engines by which those owners make their bookoos of...

    AA Extended through 2031

As I said 2 weeks ago, this is the move we needed to make this winter above all else. Adding a few wins on a 100 win roster is great, but the architect was the prize. I’m glad they got this done and I’m hoping AA got paid
