But imagine how much fat could be shed in the South. They should build a pipeline and pump it straight into the water system.

It doesn't matter how much power comes back. He's a huge step up from Allen as is. Folks really don't seem to understand how low the bar has been at SS. Literally anything is better and will be a big help in 2026.

How much GLP1 is being pumped into the South? To they ship it in by tanker truck? It's hilarious the "poison" folks will and won't put in their bodies.

It's a small sample, but with the Braves he has a .307 xwOBA (right in line with his career value) and a 3.7% BB rate (way below his career rate). I would expect his walk rate to improve and everything else looks fine. Even if this is the version of Kim they get for all of 2026 he's so much...

Walt would probably be better than Snit, but everything stupid Snit does was not second guessed by Walt...who is the bench coach...whose job it is to offer strategy help. I'm hoping AA shoots higher than a manager 1 notch above the negative that Snit is. Snit guides a 100-win team to 95 wins...

The correct choice is Schumaker, and it's not particularly close.

Sean Murphy with a hip tear

Snit continued to play an injured Ozuna when he was terrible to help tank the playoff chances, so it stands to reason they would bench the injured guy now to tank the draft pick chances.

    GDT 9-8: Dansby is Home

It's funny because folks advocating for trading Albies were actually suggesting the Braves trade him when his value is at an all time low. In fact, most fans calling for a trade are suggesting exactly that...sell low.

If Snit was going to be the manager in 2026 he would have said it, and a contract would be in place. Let Snit sit in the corner pretending to spread wisdom. He's probably great in the Grandpa Snit role. Then get a modern manager to competently drive this roster.

Sean Murphy with a hip tear

Regardless of what the injury actually is, this is another data point showing why catchers age so poorly. Trading a young catcher for an old catcher was not a great idea. Extending the old catcher was another bad idea. Failing to cash out on the old catcher when another young one made him...

You all are probably right. The Braves coaching and medical staffs had no idea, but any other organization on the planet would have caught it immediately.

Remember that time when AA should have sold high on Murphy at the trade deadline of a lost season, and then didn’t? It feels like just yesterday…

GDT 9-7: Roku Game at 12:05: Ronald Acuna Batting 7th

Nacho has never had any power, nor has he ever had exit velocities that suggest future power is coming. That was always the problem with him as a prospect. He's a low end bench option who can't play SS.

GDT 9-7: Roku Game at 12:05: Ronald Acuna Batting 7th

It's hard to imagine Wentz tricking anyone into thinking he was an option for 2026. He's a AAAA arm that should be stashed in AAA as the 8th or 9th SP option.

GDT: 9-6 vs Mariners. Ronald Hitting 6th

Waldrep had no idea where his pitches were going tonight and still figured out how to get some outs. That’s encouraging.

GDT: 9-6 vs Mariners. Ronald Hitting 6th

Resist your irresistible urge to argue for no reason, and read what I actually wrote. I very clearly wrote “if he’s healthy” in plain English. If he’s not healthy he should not be playing in a lost season, which would be dumber than batting him 6th. If he’s is playing we can assume he’s healthy.

GDT: 9-6 vs Mariners. Ronald Hitting 6th

Haha yup. Acuna bats leadoff if there’s no other batter expected to post a .360+ OBP, and he bats 2nd if the Braves have a leadoff hitter with a .360+ OBP. It’s really that simple.

That 0-1 cutter to Robles was especially nasty at 94.

GDT: 9-6 vs Mariners. Ronald Hitting 6th

Ahh yes the hot hand fallacy. Typical dinosaur manager stupidity. At any given time Acuna can snap out of his funk, and any “hot” player can go into a slump. If he’s healthy he needs to be batting at the top.
