04/21/19 DH Game 2: The Slump Buster

Braves didn’t lose more than 4 in a row all of last year.

I have a feeling this losing streak is going to be a lot longer than 4 games. Just has that feeling of a real swoon. This is as bad as I’ve seen them since they started being competitive again.

On my miss state board, a guy said he thought we'd take the astros' path... playoff appearance a year early then a step back the next year before being really good the next year. Not saying this year is over by any means, but I'm not impressed with the huge K numbers on offense and huge BB numbers by pitching.

ETA.. the k numbers on offense are recent and not the whole season, so hopefully it's a slump

Touki at 91 with questionable control just doesn’t impress me much as a SP.

If he can be mid-90s with that hammer CU out of the BP, then I think that’s where he needs to be.

Gaus, Fried, Soroka, and Folty are gonna be solid, after that the rest just don’t have it currently.

Me and nsacpi made that comparison in the off-season. But, the Astros didn’t really take a step back in 2016. They had virtually the same record as the year before, though a worse RD. I still think this team is going to be an 85-90 win team this year.

This is one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen from a starter. That was bad Newk level. It’s time for some of these guys to grow up. More reason drafting and trading for all these throwers was so dumb. Who knew right?
