06/25/23 Late Ass GDT

Detroit series annoyed me more than any other. This one was rough as well. Any time it feels like runs could easily be scored in bunches

But there are no easily scored runs. In that batter vs. pitcher moment, even the records don't matter. All that matters is execution.

Either Snit is giving Murphy rest because he came back from injury, or he is enamored with d'Arnaud and Murphy alternating spots each day like he was at the beginning of the year due to Travis' hot streak.

Travis is playing well but he still can't throw me out stealing 2B.

Murphy slows a lot of that down.

That is my worry with Travis behind the plate. I'm surprised the Reds didn't run more. Luckily, the Twins don't appear to steal much.

Ronald has as many steals as the entire Twins team (35 to 37).

The one thing I will no longer critique Snit on is his usage of catchers. I assume there are sophisticated biometric readings being taken on Braves catchers at all times, and Snit masterfully uses that data to manage their workload. Maybe not, but the overall results for Braves catchers the last decade have made their decision making at that position unassailable.

In reality I assume they are being careful with Murphy's leg.

I think our catchers do well because they are well rested. it surprises me that no concideration for other starters getting any kind of rest while a game is playing.

Perfectly fine rotating TDA and Murph at C. TDA would start on most teams in baseball, Braves just happen to have a top 2-3 C in the sport.

I laughed.
