10.11.2022: NLDS Game 1 - Phillies at Braves

Why is Ozuna on the roster?
Biggest AB of the game and you pinch hit a rookie that has slumped and not played in a month instead of your best available pinch hitter who has been hot for a month with runners on and instead say after the game you were trying to save Ozuna for later when you knew it would be against thier best reliever with likely nobody on base…
Then you have Odor as a long man to eat innings when one of your starters gets hurt or has a bad outing and it happens and you don’t use him and instead use two of your better middle relievers..
That will come back to bite us tomorrow when they’ve already seen Lee and CM.
Snit practically made the worst possible moves today and we still came back and lost by 1.
With all that being said you can’t win when your starter gives up 6 and you leave 10 on base.
Max’s fastball down 2mph today and only got 6 swings and misses.
Something to watch moving forward.
Gotta win tomorrow or it’s over as Nola has been about as good a pitcher the last month plus as there is in MLB.

Snit's tactics werent the best but as you said. This loss is 100 percent on Fried, cant give up 6 runs in the playoffs and expect to win. Bullpen usage could have been better but we were behind the 8 ball early.

The irony is today shows why this team is so good. Starter goes freaking 3 innings and sucks, manager does everything he can to cost us, pen literally doesn't pitch any of our 3 best pitchers... and yes we still only lose by a run. This team is deep, loaded and multi-dimensional.

With frustration out of system, pumped to see Acuna and Olson look really good. Lets even up this series

Astros game should have been us. They have a manager that doesn't punt on games and brought in their best reliever down 2 in the 9th.

I'm just thankful Alvarez randomly decided to go into a coma in the WS. Dude is a monster and somehow turned into a pitcher against the Braves

Also questionable move by M's - to bring in a guy that has flat out never pitched in relief and is coming off a bad start and on short rest? Man if snit did that we'd be beyond losing our sh*t

Not to keep rambling but all of this playoff madness to start just reminds me how thankful we should be for the WS last year. Just so much chaos that can entirely change up a game

Game 2 is basically the season, need Wright to not **** the bed and the offense to come alive. Otherwise its probably curtains with Nola in Game 3. I'm not gonna totally blame Snit here. if Fried just has a decent game we win, loss is on him, fans always blame Snit when we lose. Obviously would have PH Ozuna for Grissom in that spot too, but other than that, dont blame Snit for too much.

Fact he pretty much did nothing is incredible. Either we pitched him really well or he just had a very very bad series. Maybe a mixture of both.

He probably was truthful but Snit's attitude is that if you can walk you have to play no matter what.

Meh. Not true. If that’s his Theory then obviously Acuna is the exception..,I think Fried was fine and that he just stunk up the joint…period

Fried didn't use it as an excuse but reading between the lines during his post game interview Fried was still weak from the flu.

Imagine he was dealing with the flu and still was able to outduel DeGrom and take down the Mets while barfing in the dugout. Sucks if it's been lingering this long.

Could have been an early stage. Everything looked crisp with no lowered velocity that I know of in that game.. I might have to take a look into that.

NGL he did look skinnier than normal. He’s usually pretty thin, but today he was downright Folty ish.

Must have been a bad one

Cle/NY has got to have the crowd muted. All I can hear is the announcers while they speak. Zero noise other than that

Yeah this loss is on Fried not Snit. Snit makes bone head calls but giving up 6 runs is what cost us the game. Hopefully the offense woke up during the game and it’ll carry over to tomorrow. Tomorrow is a must win for us. If we lose the season is pretty much over.
