Good to know Heyward has a manager confident enough and smart enough to use him in the 3 and 4 spots.

Absolutely. I'm in favor of everyone we ever play putting a guy that's a career .259/.336/.427/.763 guy when hitting 3rd or a guy that's a career .281/.375/.366/.741 guy when hitting 4th in those spots when they play us.

Sub-.750 hitters hitting in those spots should help our Pitchers immensely.

Doubleheader tomorrow lol

I guess they'll only play the doubleheader based on where Atlanta is standings-wise, so they can sort out draft picks, rule draft, pool money, etc.

When asked about Heyward batting in the middle of the Cards lineup, and why it wasn't tried more during his tenure in Atlanta, Gonzalez responded, "He didn't fit anywhere, we had BJ who I wanted at the top, Uggla in the middle along with Freddie and it didn't work with the lefty righty thing, and besides they don't have Jose Constanza now do they?"
