100 WINS OR THIS SEASON IS A FAILURE

I could be wrong but MLB isnt like other sports.

Your record is where you pick and you dont pick where you finish in the playoffs. I could be wrong here though. I just checked, this is indeed correct, Astros picked 28th this year.

But a top 10 pick and 20-30 pick for a team as loaded at Atlanta is isnt fair lol. Braves are 24th now, but picks 20-23 are only one game back, so if Braves falter some this week, they could pick 9th and 20-22nd or so.

Leave your research that destroys my narrative at the door please.

Cubs finish at Wrigley with 3 vs Pirates and 3 vs Cards.

I think they go 3-3 at worst, probably 4-2. Regarding the Braves, they could beat up on Philly, i wouldnt be surprised if they shutdown Nola and finish the year evaluating some young players the final week instead of playing Bour, Cabrera, Bautista etc. Mets series wont be easy since we face Thor and DeGrom. Especially if we rest some guys that series.

Thought I saw where the Mets were shutting Thor down for the remainder of the season?

Wheeler got shut down, havent seen Thor been shut down but it would be smart to shut him and DeGrom down although i could see DeGrom keep wanting to pitch to secure the Cy Young.

I'd imagine a home playoff game generates around $5m in ticket revenue alone...

Beyond the game itself, home playoff games are good for our future

Good points sturg. Getting home field for the first round would be huge for an org like liberty. 2 extra home games that are sold out would look good on a P&L statement.

Yea, Braves will no doubt sweep, so one versus two home games is yuge.

Updated.

If we don't get to at least 100 wins once the last pitch is thrown in October, then this season has been an absolute failure.
