119th Congress or Red Wave In Adult Land

your insults are really good!

I'm just making references that people here will get since everyone's sense of humor and cultural references skid to a halt 20 years ago.

Care to tell me how I feel about filibusters more? Care to dig into my history on that opinion? You can probably ask grok about it. He'll tell you the same thing as actual research.

Appears you're a big fan of them! that Jim Crow era relic.

I don't think I'm a fan. I'm pretty sure all I said was it was impressive that Booker did that for 25 hours. Let me just jump back a page and double check. Yup that's what I said.

You're really going to war over something I don't care about and trying to have a gotcha moment with me but I really could care less. I just think it's impressive as hell BOoker for 25 hours remained on his feet talking and didn't take breaks. That's an impressive feat. You're the one who's trying to bring up something Obama said that as far as I know never commented on.

I still just don’t understand how these two things could possibly be linked. What in the constitution required Mike Johnson to not conduct any other business this week? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to let Congress run out the clock on their term over nonsense but I don’t get it.

The state of Kentucky is already trying to save us, maybe Mike Johnson can grow a ****ing spine and accept the help.

Jesus Christ who allowed those tariffs to be charged to us ffs

They’re not. That column is a goofy calculation of a meaningless goods trade deficit divided by imports, passed off by an insane person as a representation of how we’re being traded unfairly.

So did Johnson take his ball and go home over the proxy voting so that he could avoid being pressed into a vote on tariffs? It seems the Senate is ready to act, and surely at least 8 or whatever Republicans exist that care about the free market.
