Whether it happens from the left or the right, you can just go ahead and put this quote on the headstone of America one day. Any tyranny during Covid was in the service of saving lives. Any tyranny regarding climate change is to save the planet. Any support of trans kids is to make the lives of trans kids better. Not many people go out there and successfully run on a message of less rights so that you can have worse lives.

But your own arguments are even more dishonest. You’re taking me to task for not having enough outrage when my side does it, but have full blown outrage for when my side does it and seemingly endless approval when yours does.

Surprise! I do have actual opinions and that context matters. But I also do care about the principles behind it more than you appear to.

My version of fascism is forcing people to get vaccines to work and keeping people in solitary confinement for walking around the capital.

But you’re not describing things I support. I don’t think the vaccine was harmful but I agreed that vaccine mandates were an overreach. I also thought we treated J6 prisoners very poorly. The difference I care when others accused or convicted of a crime are over-prosecuted and abused.

You’re right that the buzzwords of the day are influencing the phrasing I’m using. But the behaviors are the behaviors. Overly aggressive public safety measures like the vaccine mandates were fascist in nature just as overly aggressive public safety measures like a police state featuring the US military. One of those bothers me more within context but both are the same core behavior and wrong.
 
But also, the discourse is being driven in large part by the current government and its supporters insisting that it’s actually a call for murder and violence to call them fascists.

Its not fascist to arrest criminals that are not US citizens. It is not fascist to enforce lawns on criminality in our cities.

It is fascist to determine citizens not taking a vaccine can't work.

Nor is it fascist to stop a deadly disease from spreading or enforcing our laws broken during the riot on J6. It’s the process that’s fascist in nature, not the sanitized explanation of them.
