No, I do not think we ever bomb Muslim nations with the intent to kill civilians. Of course, they are aware that there are going to civilian casualties so take it for its worth but I do not believe the plan is to ever kill civilians.

600 year head starts don't matter, it's a common talking point but they don't. Why are the Turks moderate? Or many other nations? Because it is more than just religion. It's about the nation, in the case of the ME it's about a bunch of tribes that were forced together and of course strife was gonna happen and it mixed with the cocaine high like injection of money from the Oil business and you get what we have today. Once the people in that group have their small little renaissance things will get better. It's against human nature to die, eventually someone asks why, then a lot of people ask why then we're moving forward. That takes time, it's a generational thing, not a yearly thing. Eventually it will be great when we can get through the shackles of religious obligation and realize a book written 2 millennia ago about how to keep nomads from murdering, raping, and incesting (I know not a word, wanted to continue the "ing" thing) each other and instead, allow them to unite under a banner bigger than just their tribe. Remember Judaism in it's core wording uses terms like tribe, and reading the old testament you see tribal tones. THat's the world that these religions were formed it. WE can adapt their core teachings of goodness to our modern world where we don't have to just outright kill people for committing crimes.

I never implied that, I'm saying that the western world has committed atrocities too. And 600 years ago seems like a long time but it's a blip in human existence. Change once it starts tends to move fast, but it has to start first.
It's not about giving someone a pass, it's about undestanding them. I don't get how empathy is "giving someone a pass"

How many hundreds of years ago were the "radical islams" nomadic tribes not living iwth the cultural standards that we have had for 600+ years in the west? That's after the catholic church went out and demolished knowledge on an insane level plunging us into the Dark Ages. Maybe we need to work on the plank in our eye first before outright criticizing the splinter in anothers. I think Jesus said something along those lines.

There is a big difference, Christianity did not behead you if you don't convert. At least they were civilized enough even a long time ago respect of one person. It doesn't matter the 600 year difference, technology alone and tolerance of others should be in a common core of every human being. Do you think the priest pestering me to join the church? No he doesn't. He tolerates my presence as long as I don't try to un-convert others. That is call "respect" and Muslims do not have that. To me they are subhuman incapable of any thought or respect in their being and toward others. In the nowadays that is reprehensible.

Are you being serious? How about the millions of indigenous people who were wiped out in the name of Christian conquest?
And the priest is probably not pestering you to join, because your wife is giving money to the church. Your radical beliefs on the penal code are much more aligned with the "subhuman" Muslims than they are with people like myself, sturg, and goldfly who're "muslim friends" or whatever.
